Dr. Stapleton has his primary focus in sports medicine, shoulder reconstruction and joint replacement. He is board certified by American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and also holds a sub-specialty certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Dr. Stapleton served as the primary team physician for the Mercer University athletic program, his Alma Mater. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery for Mercer University School of Medicine and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery for the Uniformed Services University of Health Services.
He has authored multiple papers on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, elbow arthroscopy and rotator cuff repair.
