Zaneb Yaseen, MD, FAAOS, is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with an additional certification in sports medicine. She has particular interests in arthroscopy of the knee, shoulder, and hip, as well as joint replacement of the hips, knees and shoulders.
Dr. Yaseen received a Bachelor’s of Science and Masters of Science in electrical engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering from The George Washington University, and her Medical Doctorate degree from the University of Tennessee. She completed her orthopaedic residency program at the University of Rochester Medical Center after which she pursued a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center under the direction of Dr. Freddie Fu. Dr. Yaseen enjoys taking care of athletes at all levels. She has been an assistant team physician for a number of collegial and professional sports teams including the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Rochester Amerks, and Rochester Rattlers. Most recently, Dr. Yaseen was a team physician for Cornell University.
Dr. Yaseen is currently a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society. She has also published numerous publications in orthopaedic literature and has authored several book chapters.
When Dr. Yaseen is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family. Dr. Yaseen, her husband and twins enjoy traveling, the outdoors, and participating in the many activities offered in the Houston County community.
