Gregory P. Lee MD

bio gregory p leeGregory P. Lee, M.D. specializes in orthopaedic sports medicine with a focus on injuries and ailments of the knees, shoulders, ankles and elbows. He has completed extensive training in knee replacement procedures, MAKO Robotic Arm Assisted Knee surgery, and the care of fractures.

Dr. Lee received a Bachelors of Arts degree in economics from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he graduated with distinction.  He obtained a Medical Degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia where he graduated with honors.  Dr. Lee completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta Georgia.  Following residency, Dr. Lee spent a year at the University of Virginia completing a Fellowship in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Lee is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a member of the Southern Orthopaedic Association, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the Medical Association of Georgia, and the Bibb County Medical Society.

He has presented research at numerous state and national orthopaedic conferences and has been published in  leading orthopaedic sports medicine journals.  Dr. Lee continues his educational endeavors by attending annual conferences and surgical skills courses.

Dr. Lee enjoys spending family time, coaching his daughters’ athletic teams, college athletics, trail running, snow skiing, and traveling. He is a team physician for Mercer University and ACE Academy. In the past has acted as team physician for the University of Virginia.  Dr. Lee is also proficient in Spanish.
