Dr. Bryan Kumiga completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Radford University in Virginia and a Masters of Science in Biology from Long Island University in New York. He attended medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Long Beach Medical Center in New York.
Following residency, Dr. Kumiga spent a year completing an Interventional Spine Fellowship appointment at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Dr. Kumiga is board eligible by the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Pain Medicine.
Dr. Kumiga’s professional associations include the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Osteopathic Association, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the International Spine Intervention Society.
Dr. Kumiga has enjoyed the academic setting as an associate professor in the neurosurgery & orthopaedic departments for the Medical University of South Carolina and the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He is married with two children and likes to spend time with family, play golf, and travel.
