Dr. Sam Koo completed his undergraduate education in Biology at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia.  He received a Doctor of Medicine from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia and an orthopaedic residency at the Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia.  Following residency, Dr. Koo spent a year completing a hand and upper extremity Fellowship appointment at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Dr. Sam Koo holds medical licenses in Indiana and Georgia and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the Georgia Orthopaedic Society.  He has participated in numerous orthopaedic research studies and has presented at the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Georgia Orthopaedic Society annual meeting.  He speaks English and Korean fluently.

Dr. Koo is married and enjoys softball, basketball, reading and weight lifting.
