Diana Williams

Diana Williams is a Certified Hand Therapist and Licensed Occupational Therapist who has practiced with OrthoGeorgia since 1998.  She received her undergraduate degree from the Medical College of Virginia/VCU and did specialty training in hand therapy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She completed her master's degree in business at Bucknell University and developed the hand and upper extremity center for trauma and sports medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania.  Diana has authored chapters in the Rehabilitation of the Hand and Plastic Surgery Clinics and has lectured on local, state, and national levels.  She chaired the Annual Meeting for the American Society of Hand Therapists in 2003.

Special professional interests of Diana include shoulder rehabilitation and biomechanics of throwing.  She is married to David and they have two daughters, two sons, and a grandson.  Her personal interests include community service and urban revitalization for inner city families.  She is an avid hiker and is involved with Therapy Dogs, Inc., where she visits nursing homes and hospitals with her dog, Giselle.
