Payment Policy
Hospital and surgery charges are discussed individually. Payment for office appointments is expected at the time of service.
Insurance
As a courtesy, claims may be filed directly to your insurance plan. Our staff is knowledgeable about current plan participation, but as a patient, you should also contact your insurance company to verify that our surgeons are covered providers. While our billing department can assist you with insurance issues, you, as the patient, are ultimately responsible for your bill in the event on non-payment from an insurance company
Prescriptions
Patients’ request for prescription refills are handled in a timely manner: requests for prescription refills received prior to 3:00p.m. are addressed the same day; prescription refills received after 3:00p.m. are addressed the following business day. For refills, please call our refill prescription line at (478) 745-4206, extension 2888.
Durable MedicalEquipment (DME)
Our office maintains an inventory of durable medical equipment, such as crutches, walkers, boots, etc. that are available to our patients. Our office will bill your insurance carrier for these supplies where appropriate.
Worker’s Compensation Drug Program
For the convenience of our worker’s compensation patients, we have an in-house pharmacy that can fill or
re-fill most prescriptions prescribed by the physicians in our office at no immediate cost to you. Our office will bill your worker’s compensation carrier directly for these medications. We hope to offer this drug program to all patients in the near future.
Emergencies
In the event of an emergency, an on-call physician can be reached by dialing (478) 745-4206.
