Dr. Floyd III received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, with two years of training in general surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland. He completed a four-year residency in orthopaedic surgery at Harvard Medical School where he was Chief Orthopaedic Resident at the Massachusetts General Hospital.After completing a fellowship in hand surgery at Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, Dr. Floyd III returned to his Georgia home upon completion of his formal training and joined The Macon Orthopaedic and Hand Center in 1987.Dr. Floyd has limited his practice to surgery of the hand and the upper limb.
