OrthoGeorgia partnered with the Macon Touchdown Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and the Mercer University Football Program for the OthoGeorgia 4th Annual Football Coach's Clinic.  50+ coaches from around the state attended the clinic that included a seat at the 2012 Touchdown Club Jamboree, some private time with UGA Head Coach Mark Richt, and a full day of instruction from Mercer University Head Coach Bobby Lamb and top high school coaches from around the state.

Sam KooOrthoGeorgia's Dr. Sam Koo will be speaking to the community in an HCA Northside Hospital Lunch 'n Learn Wednesday Feb 22nd at in Northside Hospitals conference center.  Dr. Koo will address the 5 most common conditions of the hand, elbow and shoulder.  Lunch will be served at 11:30am and Dr. Koo will begin speaking promptly at noon.

Dr. Waldo Floyd

Dr. Waldo E. Floyd III, senior Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon at OrthoGeorgia is among Castle Connolly Top Doctors. Dr. Floyd III received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, with two years of training in general surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland. He completed a four-year residency in orthopaedic surgery at Harvard Medical School where he was Chief Orthopaedic Resident at the Massachusetts General Hospital.After completing a fellowship in hand surgery at Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, Dr. Floyd III returned to his Georgia home upon completion of his formal training and joined The Macon Orthopaedic and Hand Center in 1987.Dr. Floyd has limited his practice to surgery of the hand and the upper limb. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand. He is active in the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery's Maintenance of Certification program.Dr. Floyd is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Orthopaedic Association. He has served on the Board of Councilors of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.Dr. Floyd has been President of the Georgia Orthopaedic Society and the Georgia Society for Surgery of the Hand. He was Chief of Surgery at the Medical Center of Central Georgia from 2004-2010. Dr. Floyd is Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Mercer University School of Medicine.Dr. Floyd has published numerous articles and book chapters dealing with hand and orthopaedic surgery and has served for many years as a Consultant Reviewer for the Journal of Hand Surgery.
